When Ashlee grows up, she wants to bring new, emerging concepts of horror into college classrooms as an educator. She believes horror's popularity should be examined more by bridging historical trends with its current impact on how people view the world and themselves, particularly in relation to gender. Women horror filmmakers are an important piece to this conversation and not talked about nearly enough. Ashlee is dedicated to being one of the pioneers of this conversation in academia.
